Meet the Midwife

Tifini D. Austin, LM, CPM is a licensed and Certified Professional Midwife trained in providing a high standard of care within out of hospital settings throughout North Florida. She is greatly motivated with diverse experience, a solid background in education, and has the desire to excel in a career in family and child sciences, with an emphasis on community involvement and human service. 

Tifini is presently the CEO of Fertile Ground Midwifery, LLC which was established in 2021 to provide excellent Midwifery and Perinatal services to individuals in their childbearing years. As a supplement to the patients that she serves, all with unique family compositions, the parent company Fertile Ground Family Services, Inc. was subsequently established in an effort to address additional social, parenting, and sustainability needs.

Ms. Austin holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology from Florida A & M University where she is currently the Community Health Advisor for a research study on colorectal cancer screening amongst African Americans. She also holds an Associate of Arts degree in General Education, an Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, and teaches 3 courses at the National College of Midwifery. 

She is a lover of dance, music, Traditional West African ensembles, and is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor. Her motivation comes from a deep connection that she has for her African heritage and her quest to seek knowledge “in every endeavor...in every person."
